Eheheheheheheh[...]eheheheheheheheh

Who doesn't like DTM, honestly?
Long story short, this is a project within a project (Projectception!).
Long story long below, grab a drink and sit down cause this will take a while.

Since this project started, many fields were completed and many missing cars were done. But DTM has always been our beloved one. So we went and created (Or completed) all DTM seasons in original TCL from 1984 all the way up to 1989 using only original TCL cars. But guess what? This was just the beginning! In the past couple of months, I've "secretely" worked on this little side-project that will become part of the main project (Hence my bad Inception joke, sorry about that) while also working on other cars. Now that I'm at a good stage of completition, I can finally reveal this stuff which I'm sure will make a lot of people happy.

DTM 1990-1993 is coming to rFactor 1!

Featuring all the cars that raced in those years, this will complete all DTM seasons from 1984 to 1996 (Officially ITC, but cars where DTM ones).
The most notorius ones, are obviously the Mercedes 190E Evo2, the Audi V8 and the BMW M3 E30 Sport Evolution, but I'm pleased to say that also the Opel Omega, the Ford Mustang 5.0 GT, the Alfa Romeo 155, the Mercedes 190E Evo1 (Although this will most likely come only as a modding resource for future additions in other, non-DTM, series), the Opel Calibra, the Mercedes 190E Class 1 and smaller privateers like the Opel Kadett and the Opel Astra.

As someone may be wondering, were the 1994 and 1995 seasons done already? The answer is yes, I'm working on them aswell, but they will not be directly included and will most likey be an unofficial (And separate) addition to this.

The Opel Omega is looking good so far.
Come back once every few days for more progress, informations, pictures.
If you want to contribute in any way (I NEED A SKINNER! SEND HELP!), feel free to contact me by leaving a message below.

Who said that you need Raceroom to enjoy some good old DTM action with cool cars? rFactor 1 has still a lot to offer. Long live rFactor!

What am I doing with my life? *Sigh.*

This is supposed to be a Peugeot 505.
I've always wanted a Peugeot 505.

Mazda RX7 finished

After so many hours of work, the Mazda RX7 is done. But there are a couple of things to point out.
The most obvious is that the model is not 100% accurate.
1) While this is a Savanna, it's not the exact model that ran in GrA. The real car had a slightly different bodykit.
2) The exterior and the interior are done, only thing I'm still optimizing are headlights. The mod comes with closed headlights, open headlights and glass-race headlights (And I'm not entirely sure the latter was ever used, but oh well..) and I'm looking at a way to have them dynamic instead of static (Which means using genstring to change style). In poor words, I'm looking for a way to make them open and close when pressing the headlight button on your keyboard/joypad/wheel. I know it's possible (It was made as a "proof of concept" for the DRS in some F1 mods), but I don't know how.
3) As mentioned in the #1 point, this is not a 100% replica, but it's as close as I could achieve. All Gr2 and GrA skins from 1979 to 1986+ can be done without problems, they just won't be 100% close to the real model.
4) Most of the real cars were RHD (Right wheel drive), but this model only comes in LHD (Left wheel drive). It's not a disaster, but, again, nothing I can do about it.

It needs skins! If you want to paint something for this car, let me know and I'll send you a paintkit with the template and a basic 3D model you can load in 3DSimEd.

Just to inform you that Moby Dick is back from the dead

"Before the shark, there was the whale."

I got my hands on this hq model of the legendary Moby Dick Porsche 935 that was made for Assetto Corsa. I'll probably start converting it to rF, but will also probably never finish it. But if someone is interested into converting this car, this post is just to let you all know that the model finally exists. Just search for SmallBlockHero on Facebook. Donnie is a true artist and released this beauty last night.

A showroom is born

Chapeau to Mik Bayazoff that helped me making it look this good. It's not a 100% replica of the pCARS one due to rF1 engine limitations, but it's close enough and I'm happy with the results.

Credits:
-pCARS for the original files extracted and provided by our misterious (  :P  ) friend that goes by the name of "Mailman".
-Mik for making it actually work and making it look awesome. Go give him a cookie and check his works here. He's a true 2D/3D artist.
-Myself, CZ, for converting and placing them in their original correct position (Once extracted, the majority of files get screwed up with all gmts in the same 0,0,0 coordinates so it was a real pita to rename and put them back where they belonged).

ps Yes, that's Godzilla.

Tests with showroom

So.. Although I'm not a fan of pCARS, 3D models in their game are some of the best I've ever saw. Some of that stuff is coming into this project (Sounds aswell), but the thing I've loved the most has always been its showroom. So here it is. Placing everything where it should be is very hard, but it's slowly taking place.

Tan. Tan. Tan. Another one bites the dust..

It's summer and here in the south of Italy it's very hot so for me it's very hard to stay focused behind the pc and work. But the Mazda RX7 is coming along quite nicely.

Not enough gauges?

TCL made a marvellous job on the E30 back in the day, but it was about time it received an updated cockpit.
